Charlotte Murray is the coach / musical director of the Musical Island Boys who are the current International Collegiate Quartet Champions.

Charlotte spends her days as a teacher of Music and Japanese at Tawa College. Not only does she teach, she is also the Musical Director of the Tawa College Acafellas (Silver Medallists at the 2005 Secondary School Chorus Competition) and Maiden Tawa (2005 National Champion Girls' Chorus). She has coached many school quartets over the past 8 years to national success. These include past national champions Dolce Adelina, Take Note, Musical Island Boys and the 2005 Quartet Champions, Soundwaves.

Charlotte is also the MD of the Wellington Youth Barbershop Chorus, Vocal FX who were the bronze medal winners at the 2005 NZABS Convention. She also co-directs the Tawa College Morning Stars choir, who has been selected for the National Big Sing Finale on numerous occasions.

Charlotte is a member of the Wellington Young Singers in Harmony Committee who organise the Wellington Regional High School Barbershop Competitions each year. This group also runs twice yearly workshops for high school students and Charlotte is used as a coach at these sessions.

In June, 2006, Charlotte was named the inaugural recipient of the Young Women in Harmony Achievement Award. This new award is presented in recognition of dedication to young women in barbershop. It was presented by the New Zealand Regional Management Team of Sweet Adelines.

Charlotte is married to the very supportive Steve Conroy who also teaches at Tawa College and they have two children, Micah,4 years, Lily, 2 years and they are expecting their third child in November.
